I get asked a few specific questions all the time so I thought I would go ahead and answer them all here! I’ll try to answer as many of them as possible and hopefully this will serve as a useful reference point if you are looking for certain answers.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LEARN FRENCH?
Properly, 2 years but I am learning constantly daily. I have been learning French on and off since 2013 but finally became consistent in 2018.
DID YOU LEARN FRENCH IN NIGERIA?
My French was learnt predominantly in Nigeria. However I spent a combined 8 weeks attending various courses in Montpellier France and Côte d’Ivoire.
WHICH IS THE BEST METHOD TO LEARN FRENCH?
It is best to understand that there is no one best way of learning, however there are 3 distinct learning approaches that I have experienced; Self-study, Classroom, and Personal Tutelage. These options would appeal to an individual depending on their learning preferences, time constraints and budget. It is recommended to understand what works for you.
DO YOU TEACH FRENCH?
Yes I do. I run 2 programs. At the moment I have online courses for A1-C1 students which covers all the sections of the French language: writing, reading, listening and speaking. And I have a speaking program.
HOW FAST CAN I BECOME FLUENT WITH YOUR LESSONS?
The answer depends on your current level and how much you are willing to study my material. In my courses, I provide a detailed outline which will help you to follow my material step-by-step towards French fluency.
HOW DO YOUR COURSES WORK?
The first program is the online which course lasts for a duration of 12 weeks and during this period each student is given access to the full course once they join. You are also sent a daily worksheet with varying exercises in combination with interactive classes 3ce in 6 weeks to further explore the tasks assigned to the students.
The second program is speaking-only and runs 3 times a week for 4 weeks. This program tends to appeal to people who already have prior knowledge of the language and want to focus and improve on their speaking ability and vocabulary.
CAN I JOIN THE BEGINNER’S CLASS IF I HAVE NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE?

WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN FRENCH BEFORE?
That is not a problem. You are very much welcome. This program would provide building blocks for you to be able to speak, read and write the French language. 😀
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE BEGINNERS?
Just start. Start small and be consistent. Listen to a podcast. Watch a movie and try to listen to what they say. Listen to songs. Watch children’s cartoons. And most importantly don’t beat yourself up just after a few days or weeks. No one ever learned a language in a week. Go at your own pace but don’t stop and always keep your eyes on the goal.
